Competency Management II:


                                        Value Added Processes





         End-to-end processes critical to the success of our business

         There is a comprehensive system for ensuring that increased
         stakeholder understanding, understanding of value maps and their
         dynamics is taken into account at concept design & development,

         requirements are identified and that the outcome is validated at
         key phases during development.

         Statistical process management is introduced company-
         wide, the results are used systematically to improve operations,

         My organization has a system to ensure that all activities used
         to produce products or services operate, and are controlled, to
     4)   the prescribed standards or requirements. (This will include
         confirming the applicability and precision of all measurements    agree   disagree   don’t know
         and measurement systems); and that response loops are in
         operation, which are reviewed and acted upon.

         There is a routine method that ensures continuous alignment
     5)   of all process outcomes with performance stakeholder values,   agree     disagree   don’t know
         expectations and satisfaction criteria.

         My organization has a thorough and routine method, by audit
         and otherwise, for assessing the effectiveness and the degree

         My organization ensures that problems identified in audit findings
         or other information, such as customer/supplier/ performance
         responses, are dealt with by identifying feedback loops as well as

         quick fixes.


         All business support processes (e.g. finance, IT, sales,
         marketing, personnel, legal, and secretarial) are controlled and
